# Rodge Epp Lang-
Ever heard of stories of famous people? How ordinary people became legends? Well, Rodge Lang was one of this people. He was an ordinary kid, never getting into any trouble and always graduating in the solid middle of his class. But one day something happened that made him famous. Something that made him a legend.
Rodge was walking home one day. He saw a dog that looked like it was hurt. It was biting itself, and everytime blood flowed out it stopped, wept, then bit itself somemore. It must have bitte itself so much that it began looking abnormally pale, and must have withtered away to skin and bones. Rodge couldn't stand seeing it hurt itself like that, so Rodge began to nurse it. Rodge cuddled it and gave it comfort, and for awhile Rodge felt happy that the dog was feeling better. Although he saw that the dog already had a tag, he thought the dog had become his friend, so he brought it home. He began playing with the dog everyday, even though he knew that the dog was not his. The dog seemed happy with him, so for awhile he forgot all about the tag. But one day, Rodge woke up to find the dog missing, so Rodge went all over looking for the dog. He went to the park,to the all the houses in his neighbourhood, even in the canals, worried that it might be stuck. Finally, he found the dog at the same place where he first found it (Rodge was not the brightest kid). He to its side, picking it up and holding it close to his heart. But the dog did something he totally did not expect. The dog began biting him, tearing his shirt apart. Rodge was so confused he did not know what to do. He tried holding it closer to assure it it was him, but the dog only began to tear at his open chest. Rodge quickly dropped the dog, horrified. Then, he noticed that the dog had changed. He could see the anger in its eyes, as if the dog never knew him. He ran back crying.
He cried so much that when he stopped he went "Epp, epp..." sounding a little like crying. So, the kids began calling him Epp.
Rodge never got over his old dog, but then one day he saw his neighbour's cat by itself. He knew this cat before, and it always seemed happy and healthy, and he observed that when people were around it it would begin yapping happily as if it was okay. But when it thought it was alone the cat curled up in itself and made whimpering noises. From far, he saw that his neighbour had gotten a new dog, which bullied it. Rodge wanted to help the cat, but he hesitated; he did not want to get hurt again. Not like that. But when Rodge saw how hurt the at was, he couldn't leave it alone, so he began to talk to it, giving it help with putting up with the new dog. Eventually, his neighbour saw what the new dog was doing to his cat, so he got rid of the dog. Rodge and the cat rejoiced together. Rodge thought that this time it was going to be different, and that the cat would not hurt him as the dog had done.
Of course, he was wrong. Poor Rodge. Poor Epp.
One day, on one if his visits, a squirrel came along. Rodge recognised the squirrel. It was the one he had always observed in the park, going along its way collecting nuts. Although he knew that it was a friend of the cat's, he had never seen them together like this. Rodge went over anyway. As he approached, however, the cat and the squirrel began scratching him, clawing at his flesh and his clothes, albeit playfully. Epp, confused at this, did not think much of it, letting them scratch him, thinking that they were just playing.
The next day however, he realised just how bad the wounds were, and he realised that they were infected. He tried moving on to go for help but his wounds hurt to much. He tried calling for help but found that he had lost his voice. So there lay Rodge Epp Lang, dying in his own room while no one knew.
After Epp died, he began haunting the neighbourhood, making the same "Epp, epp.." sound he made when he cried. This is the story of Epp, and how a normal boy became legend.
the story ends like this;
